If you import artificial Christmas trees, the single biggest quality decision is the branch material. Get this right and your shelf-return rate stays low; get it wrong and you spend January handling complaints.
PVC comes as flat strips cut from a film roll. It is cheap, machines fast and fills volume. Downside: each needle is flat, so a 100% PVC tree looks good across the shop but "thin" in the hand. It suits entry price points, garlands and wreaths.
PE (polyethylene) needles are injection-moulded in 3D copies of real pine tips. They hold shape, resist crushing in cartons and photograph beautifully - which matters more every year, because your retail customers first meet the tree as a photo online.

Buyers often compare tip counts - 800 vs 1,200 on a 210 cm tree. Tips matter, but density without PE looks artificial up close. We quote tips honestly per SKU and pair them with the material build, so comparisons are apples-to-apples.
